MH Consultants grew out of a need for training various organizations on safe intervention for those in crisis from serious mental illness, substance intoxication and developmental disability. Using de-escalation techniques, trained law enforcement and campus security have successfully provided the first response for citizens and students in the metropolitan Chicago area since 2004. It became clear that personnel at colleges, hospitals and clinics, hotels, theaters and stadiums could also benefit from formal training adapted to their particular needs.
We have brought together leading subject experts and a staff of veteran instructors to serve as faculty, training over 1000 officers.
